The FODMAP diet is not a long-term plan. It is not the only way to manage digestive issues.

A provider who recommends it without consideration of disordered eating, mental health, or oppressive conditions is a red flag.

Along with any provider who does not employ informed consent, e.g. explaining the possible risks and benefits of the plan, along with other treatment choices.

Dietetic intern, Chloe Callard, took the time to create a handout of red flags to consider before starting the FODMAP diet. Along with what to consider when researching dietary support and resources.
